AVAD Networks specializes in very strategic bilateral agreements
designed to boost PTT revenues without adding significant cost. There are many advantages to working with a strategic
partner such as AVAD. Most of these advantages recognize the changing world of telecoms. That is, within the current
but decaying accounting rate system there exists no body to enforce dominant carriers from circumventing bilateral
traffic agreements. By working with AVAD Networks, PTT's can actually increase revenues through the following means:
1.) By working with AVAD Networks, PTT's can dramatically increase the amount of traffic that enters PTT
international gateway.
2.) By working with AVAD Networks, PTT's can leverage their existing low interconnection rates to
surrounding countries by reselling access.
3.) By working with AVAD Networks, PTT's can gain access to lower rates to terminate their international
calls.
4.) AVAD Networks can offer PTT's a vehicle to identify "leaky PBX" or "grey" traffic deals entering
their network by conducting thorough testing with the PTT.
5.) By working with AVAD Networks, PTT's will have new leverage in negotiating past-due settlements that
have been unpaid by the leading European and American carriers.
6.) AVAD Networks can offer comperable value-added services with a more advantageous revenue split for
the PTT. Examples of such include collect and credit card calling (home country direct), enhanced services (unified
messaging, conference calling, etc.), and internet bandwidth.
7.) AVAD Networks can offer a quicker payment schedule than PTT's currently receive by other bilateral
carriers. Typically payments can take place every month, and in some instances biweekly.
These are only some of the ways in which PTT's can achieve greater profitability by working with AVAD Networks.
Whereas current bilateral carriers in Europe and America appear to be more concerned with taking advantage of
smaller PTT's, AVAD Networks is more concerned with making PTT's more profitable.
As African PTT's are not significant marketplaces for giant carriers, they are very significant and strategic for
AVAD, an American carrier focused on Africa. It is only in AVAD's interest to establish an arrangement where
there is mutual profitability.
