How does AVAD offer such low rates?
AVAD has developed very strategic partnerships directly with national carriers abroad. These bilateral relations enable superior quality telephony and dramatically cut down on costs, which AVAD is able to pass on to the end user. We also do not have the same advertising costs/marketing expenses of major carriers, and therefore are able to keep our rates low.

Are there any hidden costs or charges?
No. There are no monthly charges, no minimums, and no gimmicks. The only charges that are imposed are the taxes/telecom charges that all long distance carriers are required to charge customers. There are two main government fees that are assessed.

The Carrier Access Charge (CAC), previously known as the Presubscribed InterExchange Carrier Charge (PICC), is a fee assessed per switched long distance line which local phone companies charge long distance carriers. In turn, AVAD collects CAC from multi-line business end-users.

All telecommunications carriers are required to contribute to the Federal Universal Service Fee (FUSF), which provides communications services to schools, rural health care facilities, and certain other entities. FUSF applies to state-to-state and international charges. The actual amount charged will vary based on the customer's unique mix of state-to-state and international each month.
