Africa, the planet's 2nd largest continent, includes (53)
countries and over 771 million people. Largely underdeveloped, billions of dollars are being spent to
develop telecom networks throughout the region. Most of this is taking place during a period of telco
privatization and deregulation, where new players are emerging and existing players need to find strategic
partners that will boost revenues in the face of competition.
Given this exciting opportunity, and given the millions of Africans living abroad who maintain close ties
with friends/family/business associates in Africa, it has always confounded AVAD's executives why major
carriers in the United States and Europe have not visibly focused on the African marketplace.
In the process of establishing bilateral relations with African carriers, the founders of AVAD were surprised
to learn that African carriers were not only being neglected by the large American and European carriers,
but in many cases outright cheated. At the same time, these American and European carriers were not providing
affordable solutions to the millions of Africans living abroad.
The executives of AVAD insist that there are tremendous rewards to be reaped by working closely with African
carriers to form mutually beneficial bilateral agreements and networks. It is then only natural to appeal
to Africans living abroad (or others who need to make frequent calls to Africa) to utilize these networks
by offering them low-cost, high quality international long distance to Africa.
It is important to note that AVAD Networks is not limited to long distance to Africa! In fact, AVAD offers
retail customers and wholesale partners high quality domestic and international calling to the Americas,
Europe, Asia, and beyond.
AVAD is based in Los Angeles, California. For more information, feel free to
